Our licensed John Wayne Replica Shotgun Stagecoach Frame Set features the Coach Gun received its moniker on the stagecoach runs of the Wild West when outlaws and Indians targeted lonely coaches on long and uncertain trails through difficult and often hostile territory. The need for effective security and defense was clearly established. The driver needed a weapon that could allow for some leeway in accuracy as they bounced along the bumpy trails. The Shot gun could do that by shooting dozens of smaller lead shots from just one shotgun Shell as apposed to a cartridge shooting just one lead bullet from a rifle or pistol. With this nasty Shot Gun you could actually just point in their direction and hit several people firing just once because of the spread of the many lead shots from a Shot Gun Blast. Now this is a Double Barrel Shot Gun so when you shoot a blast from each of the two barrels at the same time you can do some real damage. This leveled the playing field pretty good. The Stage gun was in several of John Wayne Westerns and many other Western movies as well. This replica is attached to the rustic wood frame with two spring loaded barbed-wire hangers. The iconic portrait and signature of John Wayne are engraved in one corner of the frame and the Stagecoach, a tribute to one of the great John Wayne classics, is engraved below. The gun can easily be removed and replaced onto the frame. The Frame also available in dark stain. See our SKU JW-305-D. Features: Length: 42" x 12.5" Weight: 14 lbs.
