The Blank firing 1851 Navy Steel is Perfect for reenactment use, stage or movie prop civil war blank gun and for civil war gun collectors or as a Civil War gun display. Civil War Reenactors and prop masters are using Blank firing guns instead of live fire reproductions to prevent any chance of a live fire round (bullet) accidentally getting chambered with possible fatal consequence. None of our blank guns can fire real ammunition and none of them can be converted to fire real ammunition

There is a hardened steel pin that goes thru the wedge, and into the cylinder, so it is impossible to take apart so that it can not be modified to fire real ammunition. It is built to function perfectly with our blank ammunition and will not fire real ammo.
