Thompson 1928 Military Version non firing metal and wood Stick Model. The Thompson has many nicknames such as Dillinger Gun, Tommy gun, Chicago Typewriter, Street Sweeper, heater and the heat. The 1928 Thompson is perhaps the most recognizable firearm of World War II, made famous by the Airborne Troops of the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions. This classic non-firing replica has been out of production for several years and is now available again per your requests. This military model differs from the original commercial model in its 20 round magazine and it’s horizontal fore grip. Though heavy by today's standards, the weight helped control the .45 caliber bursts when operated on full-automatic. This long magazine became known as the “Stick Model”. The Zinc Metal Working bolt cocks and dry fires from an open position. The metal magazine is detachable. The Wood Stock and fore grips are not detachable. It cannot fire nor be converted to fire blanks or live ammo. This museum quality replica Thompson is great for Collectors, Theatrical productions and for Reenactments and is full metal and wood, no plastic like some others. The Replica Thompson comes fully assembled in same weight and size as the original. Length: 32.5" Weight: 8.25 lbs. You can Purchase extra Detachable Magazines below.
